CONFLICT CAFÉ: A LEVER FOR LOCAL DEMOCRACY
How do you foster dialogue between elected officials and citizens in your community?
How do your communities strengthen their connections, their ability to navigate conflict, and to prevent polarization?
The Conflict Café supports both individual and collective well-being by cultivating self-awareness and inclusion through practice and learning in action. It helps people find ease in conflict, welcome dialogue, and turn it into a source of collective intelligence. It weaves a living link between local governance and citizen dialogue, strengthening democracy and engagement in community life.
Would you like to encourage conscious, creative, and courageous collaboration? To help individuals and communities develop their relational capacities to face today’s social and environmental challenges?
By hosting a Conflict Café, you offer your territory practices rooted in nuanced thinking, diverse perspectives, and courageous listening — essential foundations for building more inclusive, coherent, and resilient communities.
Already active on the island of Montréal and in the MRC of Memphrémagog, the Conflict Café transforms challenges of civic governance and coexistence into opportunities for collective learning.

TESTIMONIALS
I appreciate the caring space that encourages openness and introspection to explore how I collaborate.
It's a practical space where colleagues can explore ideas on our communication patterns.
I liked the format and the framing, it's playful without being too much so.
The activity helped me better understand myself, my reactions and my triggers.
The practices helped me to take a step back from the way I was reacting.
The openness and spirit of the game, the attentive listening without judgment, helped me discover a more versatile way of relating.
This contributes to peaceful and harmonious relationships!
I like the framework of tools that allow you to open up and leave room for organic conversation while developing new ways of doing things, counteracting reflexes and choosing new ones.
I liked the choice of activities and the freedom to go as deep as we wanted.
The Conflict Café was such a valuable addition to our Innovate4Cities conference. Percolab's team has done a great job in having open conversations with our participants, creating a safe space, and encouraging creative thinking. Martine De Zoeten, UN-Habitat Climate Team
